William “Bill” Messner-Loebs is an American comic book artist and writer from Michigan who wrote runs of series published by Marvel, DC, Image, Comico, Aardvark-Vanaheim, Dark Horse, and other comics publishers.

Bill worked on the following titles; Jonny Quest, Jezebel Jade, Doctor Fate, The Flash, Thor, Green Arrow, Hawkman, Jaguar, Wasteland, Wonder Woman, Grim Jack, The MAXX among others.

Additionally he has both written and drawn original creator-owned works, such as Journey: The Adventures of Wolverine MacAlistaire and Bliss Alley – Alchemy at Street Level.

He received an Inkpot Award in 1987, the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comic Book for his work on The Flash in 1992, was nominated for an Eisner Award as Best Writer for Johnny Quest in 1998, and was given the Bill Finger Award for Writing Excellence in 2017.

Bill is currently working with Michigan based indie comic, YEET Presents and is available for commissions.
